Exercise Tips For The Working Mom

Being a working mom is hard work. Between the to-do lists at work and the to-do lists at home there never seems to be enough time to get it all done. That is just talking about the necessities, never mind the extras. Unfortunately many moms put exercise in the extra category, though it should be in the necessity category. Exercise does so many great things for our bodies, it helps with health conditions such as high blood pressure, it helps ease depression and anxiety. It is worth the effort to make time for working out.
Exercise tips for the working Mom.
. Take the stairs instead of the elevator.
. Make it a point to get outside to play with the kids. Run around playing tag, or chasing a ball.
. Buy bikes for the whole family, then go on weekend bike rides.
. Take up walking or jogging. Make it family time, the entire family can walk or run around a local track. This is a perfect evening activity.
. Set up a Mom’s workout group. You can encourage each other and it is often easier to be motivated when you have others counting on you.
Make exercise a fun experience. Something to look forward to. It does not have to be something that you dread. Treat your workout time as a priority. You are doing something great for yourself and teaching your children the importance of exercise and moving around.
